I've tried everything...from: reinstalling the game, OpenAL, removing game.cfg, installing the game on ssd and hdd, changing compatibility modes, running on administrator mode, countless restarts and even I finish the entire intro. None of these worked, I've seen most methods on steam discussion and tried all of them to fix this issue.

NONE OF THEM WORKED.

My spec is i7 2600K 3.4ghz 16gb RAM, gtx680. Win10 x64

Developers, please help and fix this immediately or I will just refund the game at will. My play hour is based on all my tries to fix this game, 2 minutes per attempt.

Disabling Soundblaster card temporarily and turning it back on when I reached the main menu worked. >.> weird solution. Shouldn't have to do this every single time however.

I had this same issue. I "solved" it by choosing a different output channel in my sound settings.

Without your post I wouldn't have ever thoughted to look there.

Hi, I found a solution to this problem. I have a new-ish sound card - Creative X-Fi Titanium HD, which sometimes doesn't play nice with hardware implementation of OpenAl. There is a software implementation of OpenAl that can help with problems like this with older games. The version I used I downloaded from
