Try logging out of the xbox account and back in. That will either pop the achievments on the steam side of things, or reveal some other issue.

typical issues are

1. The old depreceated app "xbox console companion" needs to be uninstalled. If its there uninstall it and reboot the computer. Its been depreceated for like 5 years but wont remove itself.

2. Check that the "Gaming Services" system app is installed.

3. check that the MS Store app doesnt have updates for that app.

4. out dated mods can break MP and achievments. If you have any check their status. Nexus mods wont flag game breaking mods.

5. anything like a Pi hole set aggresively, or are otherwise blocking microsoft telemetry servers.

I've already done 1-4 and those didn't work. How do I check if its set aggressively? And can I ask do I always have to input my login credentials when I open the game? other people just go straight to the main menu when they start their game, I don't know if its a steam thing or what.

you have a Pi Hole? I dont know youd have to ask their support which plugins/settings block the microsoft servers

how outdated are we talking here? this is probably my issue and i might fix it for the next run.

it depends on the mods. youd have to check the comments on the nexus pagem And bizarrely what the mod does doesnt have a relation to what it breaks.

The first example is theres a headlight mod that broke multiplayer, never got fixed, and now not needed with the new headlight changes "Immersive Headlights 1.0"

welp, that sucks. had to give up a couple mods already because they were breaking legacy tab/page and new games. all but one mod adds buildings so ive got no idea what could be breaking it.
