Sorry to hear that. I was afraid this happened. Farmer's Dynasty has been off Steam since mid-january due to false DMCA claims. Whoever is filing them is a nice coward trying to destroy competition rather than making a good game.

This is just completely foul on so many levels; DMCA can cause as much harm as it seeks to prevent. Good luck with getting it sorted out; it's a good game and you don't deserve this sort of thing; it's just wrong.

I know Farmer's Dynasty also got hit by probably the same DMCA troll as Farm Manager 2018. And those sadly mostly take 1-2 days to get it fixed with Steam and if it happens in the launch window like here it can be pretty damaging on the sales. And not sure if you can seek damages from the troll either.

I think we could seek damages but for now we are not looking for any kind of revenge. We are just trying to fix it. Regardless current situation we are still working on next updates because the game itself is most important.

Rafal, Thanks for this update concerning the fake DMCA takedown. Steam is too hyper-reactive. Steam really needs to investigate first, then takedown if necessary. Steam's philosophy is "Guilty until proven innocent." I truly wish there as a competitor to Steam that was just as popular, so developers had another venue of distribution. Alas, Steam is the 500 pound gorilla.

That's how DMCA works. As an online service provider, they are required to take down alleged infringing material immediately on receiving the DMCA notice. It's not their job (nor are they allowed) to be a judge here.

Likewise, when the owner of the removed content files a counternotification, Steam has to reinstate the content. After that the ball is in the court of the original filer again and it goes to court (or not).

(That's the gist of it, hope I remembered the details right, it's been a while since I last needed that info.)

A lot of farming sims are getting DMCA at the moment it is getting really ridiculous. Also the publisher of this game has also been issuing DCMA to other farming sims so it could be a payback. I wished these companies would stop playing games with each other with DCMA.
