So for a clean game install do this:
uninstall game, remove remaining files, install game, verify files, and at last run the class remover.
Class remover is a feature of the Custom Workshop Installer, it helps to avoid some crashes.
Also note: do not verify files later, in case steam does it (apparently it happens if it can't find the game exe) and you had mods installed, then: uninstall mods, verify, run class remover.
As for mods: use only the Custom Workshop Installer, try mods one by one, also get my car dealer mod to avoid some crashes there when trying out car mods.
