Edit: Figured out why I couldn't join the group chat, turns out I needed to follow the game first.
Edit: Was on board for this long enough to join a group chat made by the user who commented below me, at least until it died out and I left thinking it wasn't going to happen. They then called me an idiot for doing so (not the first time) and said I was wasting their time for leaving the group chat. All grounds for me to block them, I say.
Edit 2: The user below me (who goes by the username "love you") also never actually coordinated witht the others and set a date for the achievement. They'd just ask the group chat if they were available to help them get the achievement at that moment with no heads-up, then complain of being "ignored" at least two separate times. That was before the group chat went radio silent for the last few days. And yet, somehow, I'M the one acting like a 12-year-old, according to them.
If a different group ever decides to go for the Partymaker achievement, I'd still be down for that, but I simply refuse to associate myself with steam user "love you" for the reasons listed above.
