Level Editor
After finally completing the escape Midgar, an immensely fun undertaking, I decided to check out the level editor. I am inspired by the former creation to see what I could come up with.
Unfortunately I am unable to place blocks in the editor. I try to press the touch pad (I watched the youtube tutorial) and nothing happens. I am using WMR controllers, so I figure I probably have to press the joystick, except, pushing the joystick opens up the steam menu.
I tried to change the controls via steam controller settings and the options I have to map to the touch pad don't include "place block" and for some reason, the right controller's menu is all darkened and I am not allowed to change anything for it.
Anyway, just posting to see if it would be possible to implement a fix or something because the level editor is a great feature of this game that I'd love to use.

Looking at the binding I set up, it looks like it's the "select block" action you're looking for, which is on the grip button on WMR.

So the action to place blocks would be rotate the stick until the block you want to place is at the top of the circle and hit the grip button on that controller to place it.

Hope that works!
If it doesn't I'll have a look at it soon, would have to set up my WMR headset to do so which is non-trivial since I have so many things set up haha.

Well I was able to place blocks today after mapping something to the pad. now when i press up on the pad i select a block and press it again to place. I also played a couple more level maker levels that were pretty fun and showcase what can be done with the robust designer. I do wish though there was a water block that functioned similarly to lava. Oh, and I got to play a bit of no grav zones today and that was really sweet.

Glad you figured it out!

Happy to see someone using the SteamVR Input bindings as they were meant to be used, for customizing the inputs to your liking :)

Glad I figured it out too. Can't help wonder why there aren't more levels uploaded. This game ought to have a huge following considering how amazing it is.
Also, I can't stop feeling like I'm moving the environment instead of moving myself when playing. Only when climbing stuff. Jumping is fine. But when I'm climbing it feels more like I'm pulling/pushing the environment. Any idea how to trick my brain back into feeling like I'm actually climing?

No idea man!
Human brains elude me.
They are a mystery.
