My game chat randomly cuts out, This problem has been resolved before when I had access to better faster internet, however I do not and won't for some time now, so that's a bummer. This issue occurs a lil more in climbey but I struggle with it in other games as well so I know it isn't something with climbey, will be posting on their forums as well, I'm just confused as to why sometimes I can play for hours with no chat issues and sometimes it won't last a minute, to mention I know for a fact the mic isn't muted all 3 windows, steam, and oculus settings are correct the mic isn't muted or turned down, other people's voices aren't muted or turned down, it just simply won't transmit my voice to people and vice versa randomly... currently as I'm typing this I just got off the game and I am the only one home rn, so it can't be caused from other people hogging my already limited bandwith, all game sounds work fine and have never not worked.
google just points me to solutions regarding sound in general and bearly anything with just game chat. would love to have some more insight as to what I can do to help this case please and thank you to anyone who replies. I understand that vr gaming is very demanding and that 90% it most likely is due to my internet speed however like I mentioned some days, and for a good while there, it hasn't acted up, only just recently, even with the bad internet it worked perfect up until a few days ago. sometimes minutes sometimes hours, doesn't seem to be affected by time of day or the amount of players whom are playing with me in a server. I am so lost..
