I swear you never played any other vr game other than this is controls on this game are atrocious! all you had to do is fix them controls and not complain about people complaining!
and for your record:
"People generally expect joystick walking for some reason despite it being a lot less comfortable and nice" that is such a bull...it's probably just you and your game, but everyone loves yostick, it's there for reason!
In some games, joystick is fine, in Climbey it'll always feel like a hacky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way of moving around because there's much nicer ways, but it supports it anyway so you can stop complaining.
Oh and by the way, the "change" I just made you could've easily done yourself, it's literally a matter of finding the controller binding menu in your SteamVR settings, which seems fairly important for folks like you who love to complain about input stuff, not sure why this isn't more well-known tbh as its been a feature of SteamVR for years now, you can change inputs to be whatever you prefer in any game you're playing.
I get what your saying but if this was a recurring issue couldn't you have directed people to use SteamVR settings while developing a fix? I love this game but any time I introduce someone to this their immediate complaint was the rotation with walk stick. If I didn't delve into solving this in prior play sessions via the steam vr input mapping I might've done the same. Glad it's finally been looked at though. Still one of my favorite VR titles and glad its still being worked on.
Ah well, I preffered the arm movement to walk, so I'll just have to revert the binding.
If you're saying it's pretty much 100% necessary to go into the Steam controller settings, something OUTSIDE of the game, just to fix something unfavorable, and now you're complaining about people complaining about that? Pretty sad dude.
That's what any in-game's OPTIONS menu is for. So people have options. Guess that's just too mind blowing for you.
Joystick walking was added later based on requests, but never considered the default to me.
The default controls are perfect tbh. Some folks are smooth brains.
*looks this up* ... I am so sorry for my review o-o'
