Game "pauses" and doesnt unpause

Hi, Started playing this game recently and i found it quite fun until i came across couple of glitches/bugs.

Sometimes when i enter inventory during mission and leave it game stays in paused stated and doesnt unpause no matter what i do. Only way to "fix" it is choose to abandon mission which after some time unpauses game and leaves mission. This way i had to give up on some league missions and final expedition mission which is frustrating as its not one off thing as it already happened multiple times and just kills enjoyment.

Anyone maybe knows a fix for this?

This is quite an under-reported occurrence. There are a couple more basic things I can suggest you try but I'm somewhat unsure about where to attack this from more precisely for now. Let's try these basic things:

Verify the integrity of game files on Steam as demonstrated here.
Close and restart Steam after verifying the integrity of game files.
Run the game as an administrator
Run the game in Windows 7 compatibility mode
Try and limit the number of CPU cores responsible for running the game, as explained in this article[www.itechtics.com]
Uninstall and reinstall the game.
Give the game a clean reinstall, by which I mean to delete ALL game files from all your PCs folders, before then reinstalling the game again (as Steam's own 'Uninstall' function will leave behind certain files)
If you have the game installed on an NVME type driver, and do have access to a non-NVME one, try and install it there
