[bug] Frequent Crashes in Co-Op are back & items disapearing.
While the crashes for players joining a coop game were never completely gone, they were very rare, just a minor inconvenience.

Yesterday I played 2-player Co-op with my wife. I was hosting and she crashed 3 times in one mission. It was a straight forward purge mission, nurgle daemons, gothic indoor map, no side-quest, It was a rather large map, otherwise nothing special about it.

Back at the hub, we were just deciding if we try one more map or play something else when she craseh again - at the hub, just standing around.

Also strange thing happened to my loot. (I was host):
Inventory was empty when I started the mission.
During the mission I had almost 2 pages of loot.
Back at the hub, the second half of tab 1 was empty, and on tab 2 the upper half was empty with a few more items at the bottom of tab 2.

Hi!
Sorry to read about all these troubles. The crashing could potentially be helped by a number of things:
  • Verify the integrity of game files on Steam as demonstrated here.
  • Close and restart Steam after verifying the integrity of game files.
  • Run the game as an administrator
  • Run the game in Windows 7 compatibility mode
  • Try and limit the number of CPU cores responsible for running the game, as explained in this article[www.itechtics.com]
  • Give the game a clean reinstall, by which I mean to delete ALL game files from all your PCs folders, before then reinstalling the game again (as Steam's own 'Uninstall' function will leave behind certain files)
  • If you have the game installed on an NVME type driver, and do have access to a non-NVME one, try and install it there

As for the lost items, if you were to remember what the most important ones were that you lost, I can help restore them for you.

Thanks for your response.

We actually did verify the Files, no problems found. Didn't try a complete reinstall.

The game runs fine in solo-play for both of us, crashing only happens for the person who joins a coop-game (the host is fine), which is a very old issue with the game, that was (almost) fixed and reapeared with the last patch.

Don't worry about the items, it was trash-loot I would have sold or salvaged, just wanted to report the bug.
