We need a file called system.log, not system.cfg or default.cfg. These are different files. Do you have a system.log?

Do you have any mods subscribed? Sometimes when to much of them subscribed at the same time the game would not work properly.

What is you Operating system, Video card and CPU?

I recently bought the game and no i havent downloaded any mods, let me search for system.log and see what it has, the operating system is Windows 10 with operating system of x64 , Nvidia 1050 graphics card and intel core i7-7700HQ

Sorry, my mistake. We don't need a system.log. We need a game.log. It should be located in the root Haydee folder where launcher.exe and edith.exe are. Sorry for the confusion.

the problem with the game is that it opens but the entire screen is black, the weird part is that the in-game music is there and when i press the key buttons or wasd it sounds like i am in the menu but the screen is still pitch black

Looks like your video driver is ok. Do you have a single monitor or more than one?

In case it's not, could you open it with a notepad and change "windowed false;" to "windowed true;" and launch the game after that?

No, you don't. Could you try to launch edith.exe? It's a game editor. I need to know if it's working.
