Framerate tanks when shooting
I've had the game for a while and just now decided to actually finish it but I've noticed that whenever I shoot the framerate tanks heavily, it's very noticeable especially since I can run the game just fine on the highest settings, I was thinking it's the particles that pop up when the bullet lands on a surface that's making it lag, is there a solution for this? Thanks.

Do you have mods subscribed? Some of them could change particle effects.

I unsubscribed from all the mods I had running but the problem persisted, then I tried turning off VSYNC and that seems to have fixed it for the most part, meaning I still randomly get dips but they aren't as bad or that noticeable, but the screen tearing I am experiencing is unreal.

How much FPS do you have on average without VSync?
And what VideoCard/CPU do you have?

Without VSYNC I get 90/91 on average, it shoots up to 120 sometimes in areas without enemies or that are big and don't have much going on.
My GPU is a Radeon R9 280X and my CPU is a FX8370
