3D effect for custom sounds
I've attempted implementing some generic ambient noise before, but I've never been able to get the 3D and distance effects to work (So the sounds just play at max volume no matter where you are on the map).
Is there anything specific you have to do to get them to work? Putting in a 'range' parameter in the .sound file doesn't appear to do anything, nor does the actual '3D' option on a sound component.

The thing with the sound APIs like OpenAL that they automatically decide to play stereo sound as 2D sounds. So only mono sounds could be player in 3D. Maybe it is your problem.

I converted the sound to a mono file, and everything appears to be working properly now.
