Haydee

Possible "Haydee 2" Features?
If the developer makes a sequel to Haydee, what features would everybody like to see?
I'd like the option for either Male or Female template, character body shape resizers for complete customization, and an in-game map.

In that case do we need to make sexy anims for men too? :)

Yes.

I'm perfectly fine with the preset anims for Haydee. They're very sensual and mature and feminine and sexy. So if we got the option for a male I think it would be cool to see a stern, rigid, masculine and sexy animation preset to go with an equally attractive male character model.

Would Vanessa agree to that masculinity? :)

Sure. You can have somebody who's toned - not necessarily ripped - and just friggin' pack his underwear.

If I don't see phallic jiggle physics it's getting a 0/10 from me

I want system shock in this engine, with Haydee.

Edit: I forgot to add a realistic mechanic. Climbing, in some fashion. Those legs gotta have some muscle in them.

In a sequel(?) to Haydee, I'd personally like to see the story be a bit more fleshed out. Perhaps better choice of endings too.
In terms of actual game mechanics, I think some different enemy types would be cool to see, too. I'm sure there's much more I can come up with, but that's about all I have off the top of my head.

I'd like to see the story fleshed out more as well. I'm aware of the 3 different endings, and as I interpret them, they all take place inside this big futuristic facility that is essentially testing very sophisticated AI. For example, in in the Escape ending, Haydee is locked inside the facility, and is barred from leaving presumably due to the master. To me this is symbolic of Haydee coming close to sentience, but being denied because the master is programmed to test new AI's. As the player, we assume control of Haydee who either must fight against what she is programmed to do, or not - neither of which choice ultimately matters due to the nature of the algorithms programmed into the facility. Which makes me wonder if the whole game itself isn't actual real, but we're assuming control of a Haydee unit inside of a simulation - like the matrix. That's why there is no way to leave, or retain individuality, because the simulation isn't ready for Haydee to be sentient yet. Long story short, in a new Haydee game, I'd like a more definitive storyline, and a big ol' Haydee world to explore.

I want, Antales to tell us what he's working on :steamhappy:
As for new feature ideas? Let see.

• If there were a man-Haydee, which could be cool, call him Dayvee and give him a rock hard man-4ss that looks like he could crush marbles with it.

• Definitely expand upon the story.

• Different weapons.

• A hacking mechanic where Haydee can take over other robots momentarily. Only because I want to be a slasher.

• Crowbar kung fu. Wouldnt damage the robots but it gives a way out by being able to knock them back. Some sort of defense when ammo runs out.

• Fight against evil Haydees.

I've seen a lot of people use 'Hayden' before, which seems a bit more appropriate.

The devs have said that they really don't like the idea of adding melee weapons, as the game is supposed to be centred around gunplay and running out of ammo is intended to be as much of an issue as running out of health.

Could still work with limited use and weapon repair kits.

That seems like it could begin to push Haydee into survival-game territory though - especially if other items have to have similar mechanics for consistency.
And it'd probably be hard to balance a melee weapon as well - the main point of the limited ammo is that if you miss, you waste a shot and get nothing done. But I don't feel like you can justify a melee weapon breaking because you missed the air too many times, so to get rid of spam they'd have to be both difficult to use as well as carry the risk of getting hit every time you miss.

By that logic Haydee is already a survival game - it's a mechanic fundamentally identical to ammo for weapons.

But what happens when you run out of uses on a melee weapon?
Again, the 'uses left' would only be decreased upon hitting a target, so you can't have misused the weapon in the same way you can miss a shot with a gun, and unless the devs specifically choose not to give you enough uses to kill every bot in the game, then you'd always have another repair kit somewhere to find.
With the guns, you instead can just run out of ammo by your own fault, no matter how much there is in existence over the course of the game.
