What has that got to do with "toxic"? That's just common sense.
If these people were so good at the game they could coast through even with a terrible player. But they're not. I've played a game with another casual friend and we made it through unscathed on expert with another 2 'inexperienced players'. It's just easy to use a scapegoat when you lose a round by saying 'ermagerd nub y u no git gud' and kick them. It's like their life depends on winning and they don't understand how to enjoy and have fun. If the tryhard people want to play with people that don't occasionally make mistakes (and live in their delusional universe where nothing is their fault) they could play privately. But again. It's much easier to blame someone else when you lose on a video game.
Between teamkilling, spammers and 'veterans' it's tempting to put down your copy and play something else but it's actually really fun to play with people who enjoy themselves without raging. Try the campaigns online maybe on lower difficulties at first and add some like-minded people to your friends list.
But I would also like to know if the L4D communtity was always this bad? I can't imagine it being this vile when the game first came out. Seriously some of these people give COD players a run for their money xD
