"That fight is a joke"
ROFLMAO. you literally reloaded after ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your pants the first time, and died the second time because you refused to either space yourself out so they wouldn't use the grenades, or use the grenades YOU yourself equipped
you have a very interesting definition of "joke".

The other mechanism to exploit is trigger them in different groups with long range only. But I think this has been tuned down a bit in 1.1. It's still here but tempered.
It's one of the really interesting combats, I whish there was more like that. It seems scaled a bit but not that much, delay it will make it easier, at least in older game versions.
I noticed that if you tell Dan about the container yard gang and how you found out about them (the boat dudes), he'll send a bunch of his guys to help you, making the fight easier.
