Container yard thugs.
Has anyone had luck beating these 11 guys and at what level? They keep throwing granades and me and my crew keep going down after 20+ plus tries. I know there is a peaceful solution as well and i was able to convince them to leave, but still i want to kill them instead. Any thoughts? I pretty much finished most of the missions in the area.

When I fought them I had 11 luck, so they all died of a mass stroke due to bad eating habits

~15 lvl, best armor, 2-3 F1 grenades, Fidel with best handmade revolver and -1AP perk. Stimpaks. It is highly desirable to pass statcheck for the first turn at the beginning of the battle. After the start of the battle, only 6-7 opponents take part in it, and some of them come up after 1-2 rounds. Focus on the machine gunner and the grenadiers.

That fight is a joke, they attack you in groups and if you get there with the car even less join in:)) easiest fight in the game...having the perk that let's you see what guns they have and their hp is amazing

Level 13 fidel with svd and hexagon with upgraded AK

Main guy was using rpd on burst but hk416 with aim shots or burst probably better if eyes and critical

Rested outside yard and took all combat drugs e.g. painkillers and the str / endurance up ones too boost hp and dmg resist.

"That fight is a joke"

ROFLMAO. you literally reloaded after ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your pants the first time, and died the second time because you refused to either space yourself out so they wouldn't use the grenades, or use the grenades YOU yourself equipped

you have a very interesting definition of "joke".

I love your voice dude, but I've watched many of your vids... and you really don't know how to play this game well. I always walk away from your vids laughing though, so there's that.

This fight isn't a joke, it can be dangerous, but if you play well with obstacles you can lower its difficulty quite a lot.

The other mechanism to exploit is trigger them in different groups with long range only. But I think this has been tuned down a bit in 1.1. It's still here but tempered.

It's one of the really interesting combats, I whish there was more like that. It seems scaled a bit but not that much, delay it will make it easier, at least in older game versions.

Sorry about necroing, but I thought this'd be worth mentioning.

I noticed that if you tell Dan about the container yard gang and how you found out about them (the boat dudes), he'll send a bunch of his guys to help you, making the fight easier.

I had four companions and was level 12 and beat the container yard fight. The key is to have range and burst weapons, kill the first group of fighters. In many situations it is best not to charge in head first, but circle around as a group so that there are one or two enemies that you can focus on at a time. Pick them off a few at a time. I was able to get rid of the mutants this way as well. You need to create an angle of attack where you are funneling the firepower of four characters with burst or high power guns against one or two enemies. Also, it is a good idea to try and avoid cross fire, when two or three enemies can shoot at any one of your characters at the same time.

This mission was tough, but if you use the containers as cover you can guide the enemies into killzones of your own making. At one point I was running around one particular container and the enemies just followed around with me, I picked them off one by one with the pph-41. Also save scum haha

I am going to this fight next, just checking the forum to make sure I had identified the location correctly. I guess not everyone thought to check in with Dan first? I'm guessing that the fight is scaled on the assumption that you will have Dan's NPCs to help you. In which case, it is bound to be very difficult if you don't have them with you.

something like that, keep in mind that the shops and merchant will have better gear if you level up so geting a few more levels can mean shiny new equipment that makes the fight a lot easier
