Black Screen when starting game
When I start the game the sound works, when I move my mouse you can hear it pass over the game menu, but the screen remains black.

Computer setup:

OS: Windows 10 64-bit Pro
CPU: Intel Core i7 Extreme 980X
RAM: 24Gig Kingston PC3-10700
Motherboard: ASUS P6X58D-E
Video: EVGA 1080GTX Founders

Any ideas on how to fix the issue would be appreciated...

Nevermind. I got it to work by forcing it to run in Windows XP compatibility mode. Maybe this post will help someone else if they run into the same issue...

How did you switch it to windowed mode? I can't do that in the file properties.

There is no "shortcut" tab that I could find there :(

OK; I erased the game and reinstalled it so I could figure this out again, try following these steps.

Go to your Steam directory on your hard drive. Assuming it's C: it would be C:\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK BOX Unlimited

Using the mouse, Right-Click on the file ARKBOX.exe and then select Properties.

Click on the Compatibility Tab

You should see a section called "Compatibilty Mode". There is a check-box within this area. Click on it so that it is active.

The pull-down list directly below it should now be active. Change the mode from Windows 8 to Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

Click OK.

Go back to your Steam Library and try running the game. This worked for me.

The only other setting I can think of trying is doing the same steps as previous but also turn on "Disable Full Screen Optimizations" (my other computer requires this setting to be on).

Within the Options.ini file within the same directory the contents of my file are:

[Windows]
CreateTexturesOnDemand=0
AlternateSyncMethod=0
VertexBufferMethod=2
SleepMargin=1

Other then that; I'm out of ideas...

Thank you for the feedback and sorry for the issue you've encountered. @Evil Dan, thanks for helping out and sorry @all for the late reply. The black screen issue was related to the vsynch setting in combination with the W10 creators update. With the newest update 1.1.2 that has been released today, the game will recognize the issue and forces vsynch if required. We hope you enjoy, feedback is very welcome!

I just reset everything on my comp back to factory defaults. I needed to do this anyways honestly, its been a couple of years now. This did fix this issue. However, the update ZET has made to the game may of fixed it as well. All I know is that it works now. Thanks :D
