Inventory slot and items gone completely

The alien hostage slot and the item I have do not show in the steam inventory section. Looking at other, previous announcements, there have been problems in the past with the steam inventory, did this inventory just get deleted?

Can confirm, I lost several thousands of items a while ago

Don't know what happened personally or if this was answered before but yeah it was probably turned off by the devs if it still has not been fixed yet. I had lost probably thousands of items too (probably close to 10k I think).
