Game is changing system microphone settings

If you go to the Audio menu, change "Voice Transmit Volume":

and left the game, it will change microphone settings in your system:

Happening to me too. Happens every time I launch the game, and I have to go to my settings and put my volume back down.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ is the game changing my recording device volume levels? I have everything in game lowered, with mic gain turned off.

It's not fixed. It's still changing the system's settings.

This is still an issue in March 18, 2020 and I'm completely disgusted by the developer for allowing this to happen, no game should fundamentally alter a player's system settings. Get it fixed.

Update: April 2022, this is still a problem, despite disabling the voice chat in game entirely, it will still boost the mic back to 100% (causing awful peaking in many freinds' mics on discord).

This is still a game breaking issue as the game keeps earraping me by randomly mic-boosting my friends.

This while NONE OF US are actually using the in game voice feature.
