You pretty much read a story with some changes that happen based on some choices you make.
As for the dating sim elements it can be romance based if you choose the options for it but you can just as easily just be as friends with them based on the choices you make, no romance is forced if you don't want it.
This is a visual novel with emphasis on "dating sim" elements. That's all. These stories are highly character and lore driven, but in this case, the player character is intentionally vague to allow the player to fill in the gaps with themselves.
That's not to say the player character has *no* character of their own, and finding that what your character is is also part of the experience, but largely, the character is meant to be you.
Honestly I'm not sure what it is you're looking for, especially since your definition of RPG is not really all that mainstream.
They're asking why you haven't already bought it, lol.
