Report a translation problem
I think the writing needs more polish. Some of the sentences sound a bit unnatural or use odd synonyms that don't flow well in conversations. Maybe someone here would be willing to serve as an editor.
Still, I'm really excited to see where this goes.
You are right about the writing, unfortunately, I did the project by my own so I passed through the challenge to translate the narrative from Spanish to English the best I could. Of course, anyone who is willing to help will be welcomed.
Thank you for your offer, it would be awesome to have help in that matter since it will improve a lot the quality of my work, I will pm you soon.
The Sixth Chapter was originally wrote in Spanish, only that the largest audience speaks English so I write every message and announcement in English. Internally the program decides which language suits you better from the two.
I'm glad you played it and like it!
Also you guessed right, my main language is Spanish. I had a hope about writing a new story about AwSW in this language so some players, even being totally capable of read an English narration, could enjoy to read it in Spanish.
Fortunately, the community is reacting nicely to TSC so the game will have a proper translation into English soon.
Again, I really appreciate your help.
I have some troubles with the forest-part, though. With my headphones I can't discern north from south. Since I the "load" brings me back just one crossroad before the dragon dies, I have to restart the game with keeping all north/south choices in mind...
Since The Sixth Chapter is currently a Demo I'm interested about the feedback that the players could give me.
First, about the forest-part, I adjusted the roar sounds for this part: to help guide you, as you get closer to the origin of the roars, you will hear them louder. If you are located to the right of the roars, you will hear them louder from the left ear and vice versa. I did a few tests and everything went well at least for me and some friends, but I don't know if someone actually overcome the "labyrinth" to try to save that dragon. Maybe I will need to adjust the difficulty.
Second, about the autosave, I decided to implement this feature instead the classical format due to the fact that this demo is way shorter than the final result will be. So if you want to explore another route/choice you must start again (which encourages you to choose wisely). Also maybe I will need to revise the save system.
I think the auto-save was a good idea. I'm just a bit upset that it saves at the end of the search instead of the start. I tried to find the dragon in time at least 10 times now.
I also noticed the roar gets louder and comes from left/right to indicate direction.
But whenever there are both "south" and "north" option and the sound comes from the center, I feel a bit lost. At least my headphones only support left/right balance...
I think I'll start writing down my south/north choices and try out all combinations. ^^
I failed another couple times to go by hearing, so I went through your code and followed the hashes. Also learned some spanish (Bosque and Hacia) while I was at it. ^^
I'm not sure if my sound-setting/hearing is wrong but following the hashes didn't match with my hearing at a few times.
You did a great job makign multiple paths possible, while keeping the location inside the forest constant! (N-S and W-E constant in all paths).
I found 6 ways to reach the dragon (didn't try out all, two are maybe too long). However, treating him correctly felt a bit like a guessing game. Had to try a couple times.
You must know that the bug you talked about it's already fixed, so just go to the website and press Ctrl + F5 to force reload the resources and you should be fine. And of course you can collaborate, just add me on Discord: Samuespaa#2499

Hello again, dediggefedde. I'm glad you finally achieve it! I hope you felt the intensity of that scene.
About the autosave, it saves the game every time you make a decision so you can't revert them. It can be an adjustable feature like deactivating autosave in certain scenes.
About the forest scene, the clue to know if it's north or south is the overall progress you have made, I'm sure you finally notice that the north is a good path to follow since you can hear the roars loader each time you progress to that direction.
I find interesting that you appeal to see the code to solve the problem! About the paths to reach the dragon, basically there are two main options and many variants of those two.
I'm happy to receive these messages that help me improve, thanks again!
