That's at least my opinion, okay, I haven't been through it either.
(Does anyone know how many chapters there are in this game?)
Best case scenario? The reviewer plays the game in their spare time, gets all the endings, and later edits the review. But most likely the reviewer will never play the game again.
Most likely they only played it because their job made them play it and it would normally be a game they had no interest in and would have avoided.
You win a date with Anna. That, and you have dinner with Remy so... maybe just those two scenes count really? Maybe Remy's 4th scene as well?
The reviewer seemed like they expected full blown pornography or something, which there is not.
She reviews pornographic dating sim games for a living, or dating sims with sexual themes in them. When she bought this game she was expecting the plot to be revolving around dragon sex, and when she got into it and saw that it was more of a mystery novel with contemporary storyteling aspects rather than a porno game, she became biased and then reviewed it poorly.
Take a look at this little snippit:
"Each time I woke up, greeted by the excitement of a new day full of cutie dragons to woo, I was instead dragged off to a murder scene, asked to do some tedious investigation task, or thrown into a long, long conversation with someone I couldn’t even smooch—a conversation that never really gave me, the player, any real input."
Of course she feels like the game is "tedious", since she is used to reviewing games with little to no plot, only porn. She isn't used to stories with exposition, dialouge, and personality in a character.
And of course she feels like she has "no real input", since all she wants to do is smooch the dragons.
I feel like she's the kind of person that would rather remove the wine bottle from in front of Bryce's crotch than sit down and talk to him about his alcohol problem
I mean, first and foremost I'd make sure that he is alright mentally and that his problem gets treated.
After that...
He played it for about 5 minutes, didn't read anything, skipping everything 'text', called it 'furry s**t', and closed game.
Its honestly so frustraiting that this game is labled as "furry ♥♥♥♥" just because it has dragons. I myself am not a furry nor a scalie, but I have backgrounds and emotes of this game because I love it so much.
I wish people would just look past the cover of the game and give it a try. It really is a fantastic story telling game that tells an interesting story, contains characters that are not only realistic and likeable, but also are round and have many qualities to them, and tackles many issues that we face as a society today.
And all of this done by a dev who's primary language is not English? This game really deserves more attention
