How do we know it isn't a sequel? On patreon M.B. S. says the funding will go to (other than the comic) VN that fans of AWSW will be interested in.

Read some time ago that the next Sander VN wasn't related to AWSW, but I could be wrong here.
And the "human sequeal" was just an april fools, but sounds some had taken that too seriously.

Still.. if is the second game, I think is related to Bastion. Is cited in the secret database, and the city name was dropped here.

It has been some time sense i played the post true ending but didnt the game tell us to keep our save files? Also i wasn´t talking about the april fools but this: Your support will not only ensure the continuation of this project, but also help funding our next Visual Novel - which fans of AwSW will surely be interested in!
And the newest thing about the new VN i can find is on the Reddit AMA where M.B.S. still didnt share any news about it.

It kind of doesnt make sense why would he post something unrelated to AWSW on AWSW twitter, if it was a something else why not make a new twitter account and everything.

Yes, it does. However I believe they meant another thing. After publishing of the game, they gave hints to solve the Secret ending on the game forum (I think). So, you have keep the saves, because "very soon" you would had help how get the other final.

However: if really was meant to keep the saves for the second game, would be cool. The game engine, RenPy, has only need to check the "persistent" file under a directory, and then unlock "secret" content is a matter to set on or off a flag in a config file.
Would be smart, but I doubt they really are going to do that...

As I said was a rumor, and such I don't really believe it until isn't proved.
However I could understand if Sanders liked took a break from AWSW before getting back.

Some people must have taken it seriously and thought was real, so the rumors was born. At least I have really hard time to take something seriously when is posted the 1st April. :D

Indeed. I could understand AWSW is, for now, their most know game, but would inappropriate ads there a different project with a teaser.

I doubt is a DLC or an extension of AWSW. The game covers already all characters, main and secondary, in a way or another. There is the stuff in the secret databases, but I believe will be covered in the second game.

I still think it is a sequel, only thing that is wierd is how M.B.S isnt sharing any thing about it, i mean the teaser the music and art fits into AWSW world.
Sadly the teaser feels like M.B.S wanted to say: Hey Im alive and working, check back in 1 year.
