TL;DR: Whenever the background art changes, the game goes a bit glitchy and it has trouble loading the next scene.


Right from starting up the game, I experience (sometimes severe) glitchiness with the game's art. My screen itself is not affected (as evidenced by playing the game in windowed mode) but the game appears to be having some serious graphical trouble.

It's almost looks as if the screen/art that's supposed to be loaded in has trouble doing so. I often see a plain, checkered grey background with a fractured part of the artwork glitching in and out. This only occurs with the background changes though; during conversations or exposition, where the background is stationary, there are no issues.
