Workshop mods don't work for AWSW. Help.
For some reason if I subscribe to any mod in the AWSW workshop, it doesn't work. The game starts up normally but it's as if the mods aren't installed. There isn't a "MODS" button or anything. For any other steam game it works fine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ah, the Steam Workshop only supports Windows at the moment. If you want to use mods, you'll have to install them manually, via Github which seems to be what you've done. I've not been able to obtain a Mac which is part of the reason they're not MacOS compatible.

Unfortunately I'm not able to put mods up on Github without the author's permission, though some of the mods not on there can be found in these forums with a direct download link.

I believe there is a way to manually install workshop mods but I've not tried it. If you subscribe to all the mods you're wanting to on Steam and let them download, they should appear in the folder `<SteamLibraryPath>\steamapps\workshop\content\571880`. They'll be called a bunch of seemingly random numbers (Most about 1358783935). In particular, you'll want to subscribe to the mods mod. This mod will be downloaded to a folder called `1305731599` in the said workshop download folder. Inside it will be a modloader folder, a mods folder and a file called `modloader_error_handling.rpe`. Copy all these to the game folder, just as you'd install them manually from Github. You can copy the rest of the mod folders (All the other folders with numbers EXCEPT the core mod, 1305731599) into the new mods folder.

This should allow the installation of the Steam modtools on MacOS, though as I said previously, it's not been tested on it at all so may immediately crash. If that's the case and the older version of the core mod works, you can try to use that with the Steam mods though some of them might use updated functionality.

Note that clicking the download mods button ingame would probably cause a crash or similar so I'd advise against that.

Also I've tried reinstalling the game multiple times.

I'm assuming you don't get any errors? And to be sure, you are subscribing to AwSW steam workshop mods (The Savior mod was in a uninstallable state for about 3 hours today so it might have been that). If so, try restarting Steam and then subscribing to them again.
Also if you haven't, try to install different mods and see if that works

Yes I don't get any errors when I start up the game. Restarting steam doesn't seem to have an effect and I have tried pretty much every mod in the workshop and they all don't work. I will say though that when I go to this github website, https://github.com/AWSW-Modding/AWSW-Modtools, that has downloads for some of the mods and I manually put the mods into the game files, it works perfectly fine. But it only has a couple of the older mods.

Thanks for replying, I don't think i've seen a game developer care this much about their community before.

Could it be that the workshop mods aren't macOS compatible? Because that's the platform i'm using.

Alright. Thanks for the help. Hopefully sometime we can work on making the mods on steam macOS compatible. :awswremy:
