If you have never played Sebastian's scene, then you can't tell him to watch the fireworks and...
Um... er...
Wait. You are right. This condition only checks if we played his scene, not if we told him to watch the fireworks. Well spotted.
(SPOILER WARNING READ AT YOUR OWN RISK)
Oh now that you both mention it I do remember that I was surprised to see Sebastian shot again in Bryce's endings which made me even replay his story from scratch again.
What I understood is that even if you DO SUGGEST Sebastian to go and watch firewoks, he still ends up dead again and it doesn't happen only if you went camping with him IN THIS walkthrough. And the funny thing is that if it's not Bryce you go with, but someone else, he's not there, only eggs again. As far as I remember this is what happened to me,
BTW, here's another weird thing worth mentioning - I don't remember the exact conditions, but there was this one time when Remy died after I helped him with adoption and after the scene where he's seen with Vara and Adine near the hatchery...I presume it happened because I chose to date someone else instead of him 1st in Chapter IV and he ended up "abandoned" which made the game automatically consider his status with me as bad (even though he was impressed before) and probably if his status is any different from neutral/good/impressed in that chapter he dies (though I didn't see that notorious scene when he hangs himself)
Considering what Bryce's ending checks for, you can go on a date with Seb, then NOT tell him to go watch fireworks, and he'll still survive just fine.
For everyone else the game jumps to a different bit of code which is actually universal for the other 4 main dragons. It's "endingjustafewminuteslater". But Bryce got his own code for that part which checks for a wrong variable thus giving out a weird result with Sebastian.
If you got his good ending already, he should really be fine regardless. But if you didn't get it just yet, this might be the intentional behavior.
I am not sure why, but game actually checks twice for Remy's standing with the player: once after running the errands on chapter 4 and the other time at the very start of chapter 5. If it's "bad" or "abandoned", Remy's death is set to "True". So it doesn't matter if you helped with adoptions or not, the game only checks if his good ending already happened and his current status.
Again, not sure if that is intentional behavior or an oversight tbh.
It's looks at whether we played Sebastian's camping scene or not. If we have, he won't be there and Bryce only finds eggs, otherwise we find Sebastian is dead. It does NOT check for whether we told him to watch the fireworks. I see no condtions about this.
Now, when you play Sebastian's scene in Chapter 1, it toggles a variable, which enables the option in Chapter 4 to tell him to watch the fireworks. Telling him to do so, toggles a variable to be true that seems to only appear in everyone else's endings except Bryce's.
So.... um....
Hmm.
