Is there a way to mod the game to not end battles immediately when the last ship on a team mutinys?
Le me, using a full stealth light cruiser squad to defend a system.

A wild assassinate objective shows up.

Le me, sat around in an asteroid field in a tight circle, I've planted sensor probes on both battlecruisers and fried all the escorts, time to blow the sensor disruption to bring them in tight. Assasinate target's shields drop, instinctively dump 5 lightning strikes on him from 5/5 dauntless class cruisers (2 mk2, 3 mk1). DOH, I needed those to prevent him from sodding off cause dauntless bois aint got that much dakka.

No biggie, I just switch targets and take apart the other battlecruiser.

Down to the assasinate target. Hes got about 200 hitpoints left, I've just planted 10 boarding teams on him to make sure he doesnt go anywhere. Crew mutinies. Battles over, btw you didn't kill the target, stupid guy.

Le me: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

TL:DR why is this a thing and how do I force it to not be a thing

I don't think there is a mod to fix that annoying thing, the only way to (try to) deal with it is: don't target the citadel, try to put the targeted vessel as 4 priority, if only that one is left, use "ceasse fire", only target it during the battle if u think that the moral of the faction of that vessel is enough to resist it.
