Also bots don't have issues just get gud lmao
Not at all helpful nor does it contribute anything to the discussion. "keep moving and take cover" might be helpful if I was one of the usual "headless chicken" players who sprints and rushes everywhere and into everything, but I am not. I am slow and careful, and I play on a slow and careful server, which emphasises these issues for me.
I don't see what's "perfect" about a bot headshotting someone the moment they spawn in randomly around the map, with spawn protection making them immune to retaliation.
Chicken seems like they're on the money. I feel like it could be solved by preventing the bots from shooting the instant they see you, and / or them actually having to aim, thereby removing these instances where a bot can sprint out of cover, hipfire you with a .50 cal while sprinting (while you're in cover and holding down their position) and sprint back into cover without stopping. Happens with automatic weapons too, but since the update they've been doing this with a single tap to the head a lot more, so it seems far more intentional than spraying down your position and a bullet happens to catch you.
Bots are not perfect when they can win situations they should not be able to, while doing things a player cannot do, within a timeframe that a human wouldn't be able to react to. That ain't fun.
hour of footage with 7 bots shooting at me standing still
stop lying
How very rude. I have much more than an hour of footage of the opposite, so clearly I am not. Sometimes bots are absolute Stormtroopers, but they snapshot often enough. Just yesterday got nailed in the head by a bot that was still sprinting with an MG3.
I HAVE 8 FRIENDS ALL SAYING SAME THING
we didnt just watch footage we played it
BROKEN!
Speaking in capitals makes people take you seriously.
I noticed a few cases of insane aimbotting while playing in the firing range, but the one match I played so far in the new map seemed mostly fair. Noticed a couple of instances of bots shooting through cars and door frames still, but I can't really give a verdict yet.
And yeah, they're probably trolling.
if you people would just pay attention the bots are shooting but not at you
There's also the thing about how the game has been optimized with the ai, how they seem to have less animations than they used to, or like, lacking frames in certain animations. This is very apparent when they try to slide or go through doors. It's as if their hit boxes and animations don't line up with what you see third person.
As I said, there's still moments where the ai just feel unfair. But it's far less common than it used to be, however, because people can play like absolute donkeys now when the ai is generally way too easy, it makes the godlike ai moments feel all the more unfair.
Be careful asking for ai changes though, or asking for easier ai, because if they change the godlike bots to be easier, that same change will also make the easy ai even easier. It's like when people asked for bug fixes for over a year, then clean sweep came out as a dedicated bug fixing patch, and created more issues than any other version since the game launched..
