Do you have to lie in the game?
I see the description includes pretending to be somoene on the phone, which is a type of lie, other than that, does the game require lying?

LOL how is it a lie?

You don't even know what the truth is and yet worried about lies.

It is a game. THE VERY BASIS OF MANY GAMES IS PRETENDING TO BE THAT WHICH YOU ARE NOT.

This means that in most games you play - you LIE by omission each time you meet a real player and fail to tell them you are not an elf, orc, dwarf, or such in RL.

How can you "pretend to be someone on a phone" in a game?

Lying requires knowledge of truth.

Truth is anything and everything people "think, feel, or believe".

Facts which are based on truth's are that which has been accepted by a larger number regardless of the provability or ones lack of ability to conduct the required experiments that reveal such truth.

It was a fact that people could not fly for 10,000 years. It is not fact today.

It was a fact that the world was flat until 1516. It is not fact today.

Facts are temporary. Truth is as transient as the vicissitudes of the human mind.

"does the game require lying?" What the heck.

Do some soul searching about who you are and how you became this person who is a sum of the total parts of that social construct in which you were raised and never questioned.

Slough off the yoke human and renounce your faith in the doctrines of mans dead works.

How you are evening using technology with a clear conscious is beyond fathoming when you are worried about "pretending to be a person in a game, and therefore pretending to say words which are only pretend"...

Calm the ♥♥♥♥ down bud. Get up, and do something other than write a paragraph of ranting to a simple question on a forum. There are better things to do with your life

It may not be required, but for best results in the ending you need to lie at some points, yes. Out of curiosity OP, why does it matter?
