What do you mean passive-aggressive ? If transgender character fits better the narrative I don't see why they shouldn't use it.

Intention matters. In your analogy, the driver could be anything in the continuum from the criminal mastermind to a innocent taxi driver. You're assuming the publisher is politcally motivated. They could be indifferent to the politics and just see a game that's artistic and imaginative. They could see themselves as proponents of free speech and artistic expression. They could hate the game but thought people would buy it, which would help them achieve some unrelated goal. Probably not, but there are many possibilities and you leapt to a conclusion, got on your high horse and threw around your insults, and now you're trying to weasel out of it. The core of your ridicule really hinged on your false assumption that Devolver wrote both games and are therefore hypocrites. You didn't do your homework and now you look a bit silly.

I can't speak to what context or degree Russians are discriminated against in Hotline Miami, but these two topics aren't really related. One could be on the wrong moral side of a treatment of one group, yet be on the right side of another. The importance of each topic doesn't change its ethics. I'm sure you could find similar disparities in any poltical perssuasion. I wonder if you're aware that the concept of non-binary genders predates liberalism by multiple millennia, recurring independently since the beginning of civilzational records. It's probably your assumption even that Hotline Miami was created by liberals.

I think you either misunderstood my message or quoted me by mistake. I was responding to razoleg, not criticising the game. Razoleg's message was passive-aggressive because it didn't explicitly mention the game or what they thought was "libtarded" about it.

You're insinuating that the driver was captured, I mean a real gateway driver, hence I stated it explicitly in my comment. A hijacked taxi is not a getaway driver, so before posting long comments - know your English.

With respect, you're misunderstanding my English. I'm saying your analogy may not be accurate because you don't know the publisher's level of involvement or intention. Some publishers get very involved in design and political decisions, while others simply provide commercial services to collect a buck.

No it doesn't, because I didn't speak to the content of Hotline Miami, and I made this clear in my message. My point was conceptual; I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and said being wrong on one issue should not impact how you judge their position on another. You are drawing a connection between two unrelated topics on the vague notion that "both have to do with discrimination".

This is a relevant response to "fake sex", because there's thousands of years of precedent, arising more than once indepedently, and it seems to be biological as well as cultural in origin, relating to genetics and hormones; not just ideas.
