Akara asking if she should allow women to still be oppressed really rubs me the wrong way. It's made infinitely worse when Donovan replies that women aren't oppressed and Akara says she didn't think he was stupid enough to believe that. The most powerful positions in Supercontinent are held by women. We aren't oppressed in the real world (as a whole, there are obvious exceptions like the middle east), so if you're gonna make those sorts of statements in-game, at least have the lore to back it up.
