Throne of Lies®: Medieval Politics

New neut meta kind of backwards? New merc.
So now people help scorned, and execute mercs, and inquisitors. Was this the new intended meta?

I like that new inq is kind of a 2ndary NK, because lets face it when people got inq before they would just kill random people anyway, and it really spices things up having a 2ndary nk :)
But I don't know if I appreciate being executed as a merc >_< Also it's extremely hard to get those 8 brilders =/

inq as far as I'm concerned has always been a good idea to kill. as you said... all he ever has done is random kill, this version is actually most likely more polite than the old one (he actually has incentive to find out if someone is a heathen before he kills them, when his target had 2 full court frames and 2 appear non magic... random chance and some level of scum reading was the only way to try for your goal (that or just do nothing and let BD kill the sorc for you).

I am glad that now people don't stupidly give inqs a pass just because their goals are no longer contradictory. That being said I'll also say I don't like the new scorned so far... personally I'd say it would be better to have a goal for say "see 2 BD executed" or something more like that, I don't like the idea of an immune (even one time) unconvertable neutral that benefits more from being good.

Which is kind of irrelevant now as now their abilities find heathens not sorcs.

During the time when their goal was to find the sorc, I noted BD did generally leave them alone... but I always found it stupid, there was no class worse at actually finding the sorc than the inquisitor (with 4 of your results guaranteed to be tainted, you are far better off scumreading, which gives you fairly equal chances of hitting the prince instead of the sorc, as important BD roles tend to use similar tactics to evils in efforts to not draw attention to themselves). The only advantage he had over normal BD classes for finding the sorc, was the benefit of not hurting his chances of winning on a wrongful kill. Doing the math on it it seemed like the most clean cut execution possible. (chance he's a class lying about being an inq, even if he is an inq he's more likely to harm BD attempting his goal than to actually be the one to accomplish it).

pretty sure it's still 3 shots. With 3 targets... Though statistically it's likely many of them will die without your intervention as usual.

its not a good idea to kill randomly as inquisitor since you only have 3 charges on your kill ability

depends on the stage of the game and how many heratic's are left. There's 2 resources, nights alive, and kills. if you have 3 stabs, 2 heratics are dead, but the game is nearing a close, blind stabbing is a good idea.

It's not that big of a deal really, I think I one once without killing any of my Heathen targets, they all just got executed, or killed by assassin, not to mention you can try to get your last one executed as sheriff claim or something.
