I love the game and imo the game has a really good base to build on.
Game fire
Unfortunately conquest is bland (battles are decent but expansion is boring) and missions are even blander. "Go there and talk, then go to another place and shoot". Everything else you can do, you really don't need to do at all to progress (upgrading buildings is bland, some henchmen upgrades are ok but not that exciting).
That describes the entire game.
We need more differences in buildings and their upgrades. There is no actual difference between casinos, speakeasy's and brothels.
How about an weapons store or a loanshark? The store could provide guard updates and provide protection to whatever is on the same block. A loanshark could lead to new missions, like "Eddy the Bat borrowed 10k but is behind payments" and then you could have a branching story that could lead to a total loss (and possibly death of Eddy), to owning the business he was trying to build, or to the cops coming down on you because Eddy was also in bed with friends of the mayor.
The bones for a good game are there, but all the flavour is missing, especially from the economy and story telling side.
