Crashing before the game even launch
I've played this game on PS4 before and had some good memories and wanted to play it once more
However, the game crashes at the "Bandai Namco" logo at the start, creat a 4GB file in the game files and shut down...
I've searched for answers everywhere but can't seem to understand why???
I whitelisted the game, made sure there weren't any conflict, reinstalled it... nothing changes
Does anyone have an idea/solution?

Im running a Ryzen 9 5950x, RTX 3080, 32GB of RAM on a 4K monitor

The game is no longer playable on actual directx 12 PC systems. I still made a ticket to bandai namco but they didnt want to fix it and make the game playable on directx 12 systems. They tried different things, nothing helped so its garbage now.

Not true, game runs fine with Dx12, ive played about 40 hours without a problem.

Same issue for me, though I am playing on Linux.

EDIT:
Found a fix !!! This is related to high core count on your cpu. I have 5950x as well with 16 cores. I have limited it to 8 cores in bios and that has fixed the game immediately.

not too sure how you guys are facing thees issues but here are some tips :
- make sure directX is updated
- make sure to have all the Visual C++ required
- lastly there is a rare case where you need "msvcr120.dll" in SAOHR game folder

hope it helped , also hit me up if you wanna play sometimes started form 0 again recently

Ooooh, I read that somewhere but i though it would be a pain to do and might not work
I'll try it out and keep you guys updated!

Just got the game cause sale and I've been meaning to get it. Anyone got a solid fix for the game crashing on the Bandai Namco screen?

if you crash in loading market area :
add an exception in your antivirus.
i do with avast : Menu => Settings => general => exception => add exception
for me : E:\Steam\steamapps\common\SAOHR

you can do with other antivirus
