guard is the the shielding skill
it becomes more easier to see when you use joystick/controller to play, it's the button you press hold on L1 to use skills derivative from it

dont use controller it was x i guess was just confused since it didnt really block any damage or anything when i tried it against a mob didnt take away sp or anything maybe i need a shield?
