WHY?
Ok so,I just got a brand new computer, and this game still freezes a few seconds after I click continue. I've gotten no further than just after the tutorial. Any suggestions?

32 cores? If so, you may want to make some changes in your registry to change the amount of used cores to 31. The game is so old it doesn't support 32.

Ummmm, I think I looked at the right thing, mine sais it's a 20.
