Curious about a few things before I get the game
Developers name seems strangely familiar, CodeBullet seems pretty dubious to me only beyond the fact that it's a pretty similar name to CodeHatch which I'm sure people are familiar with with StarForge (which they released as a complete game even though it was incomplete, same thing with their more recent game too.) I'm very wary of the similar names due to the fact that I was one of the poor sops who paid to test StarForge and got ripped off. SO please allay my fears here.

How dedicated is the dev team and will they keep pushing to finish the game into a finished product or will they pull a disappearing act like some EA game devs like to pull with next to no communication to the community?

CodeBullet has nothing to do with CodeHatch. Especially since their games are multiplayer. Our styles are just too different to be able to draw any similarities except for the fact we both share the word "Code".

No disappearing act from us, just slow from time to time. The game will take awhile to finish considering current resources. Even when we bring the game to a final state we plan to continue updating it from time to time to continue getting rid of lingering bugs and occasional content drops.

I'll admit communication isn't the best around here, but it's only way to keep the project moving. If you have any emergency issues you can just email it directly to me for a quick diagnosis or fix.

In a month from now we will have made it year in and we plan on sticking around for many years after. It may be true we didn't fully understand the demands and stress of early access but that won't excuse us from ditching the project. We just need to manage it in a way so it can continue updating every 1-2 times a month.

We are a very dedicated dev team and we'll do what it takes to stay in good standing with the community. As long as you give us the chance.

I went against my better judgement and was surprised to find that the game is pretty decent in the current state. It's a diamond in the rough sure but hopefully things will improve over time. A lot of the bad reviews this game has recieved aren't warrented and I really wish you the best with developing it. I just wish some of the steam reviewers weren't so toxic with early alpha games.

I bought this game against my better judgement as well because the concept is too good to ignore. I was also equally surpised by how decent the game is as well. Overlooking the medieval place holder artwork and the stilted rough dialog, the overall game presents a world of hard salvage to ensure survival against the elements and the evil in the world. The custom boats and rafts that can be built are also a mainstay of survival but a way to make a piece of the world uniquely yours. I sincerely hope that you do not give up and find a way to see this too completion. Ever since I saw Waterworld in theaters I've always wanted to try my hand at it. Who knows, just like the movie, maybe the main quest can be to find dry land by following clues and dodging pirates.
