Run WTL with Steam Proton on Linux
1)Launch Steam
2)Go to Steam -Ю Settings (top-left corner menu)
3)Once the settings window is opened navigate to “Account” tab if not already and click on the CHANGE... button in the Beta Participation area to be able to select the Steam Beta Update.
4)Steam will ask to restart itself which must be done in order for the Beta update to kick in. Once Steam is fired up again it should contain a “Steam Play” tab in the Settings window where multiple cross-platform settings can be selected.

By default, Steam will allow only those games to launch which are known to be 100% compatible with non-Windows operating systems. Since While True: Learn() is not yet in the Steam database but can be played anyways without problems it’s important to tell Steam that we want to be able to play games which aren’t yet whitelisted. This is done by checking the “Enable Steam Play for all titles” checkbox in the “Steam Play” tab. Once this is done While True: Learn() can be launched as a Windows application on non-Windows OS from the library.

I didn't realize that native support was new.. just saw this pinned topic and wondered why Proton was needed since it works great as is.
