Some ideas
Hi,

Just wanted to say that I absolutely love this game. I know you are very understandably looking to finish the game, but I guess it doesn't hurt to throw out some ideas if you ever needed anymore :)

General gameplay:

• Animal view camera: view the world from the point of view of the animal you are flying. Following could change from animal to animal: FOV, some birds see in the UV range (emitted strongly by some flowers), colour blindness, blurriness. Of course this will need to be (a probably) inaccurate representation of their sight as we of course cannot actually start seeing UV for instance, but it could be nice for immersing the player in the animal they are in.
• variable cloud height
• doppler effect for animal sounds
• less erratic movement for animals (ie some birds change flight angle abruptly)

Gameplay modes:

I love the current non demanding nature of the gameplay, but sometimes one feels an itch for flying in this beautiful world with a little more purpose.

• Trash mode: pick up trash with your beak to clean up the environment and dump it into a landfill.
• Rescue mode: pick up sick baby animals and bring them back to a nest for their species so that they can heal. Make sure you do this in time or the baby may die
• Butterfly mode: add some randomness to the motion of insects like butterflies to imitate their more erratic motion
• Chase mode. Get chased by a flock of birds that does not wish well on you. Try to make them lost through dangerous low flying through twists and turns. Make sure you don't accidentally turn into a slow animal as the animal morphing key is disabled in this mode.
• Story mode: find clues in certain places and follow their cryptic instructions to uncover a story and discover something of significance. Should navigationally challenge player
• Survival mode: flapping wing tires you out, so you need to take rest, drink water and eat something (perhaps nectar) every once in a while. Have a baby, build a nest in a good spot and forage food for it. If dynamic weather is implemented, chase the preferable weather and move your family to ensure your family is warm, has enough to drink, eat etc. Perhaps the animal you represent could even itself grow from a baby into old age and eventually die.

Ideas I like from other players:
• trees swaying in wind and in general more impact of wind on flying (ie bird angle)
• dynamic weather
• day night cycle

That would be insane, especially the chase mode nad the trash mode for casual playing!

Hi, sorry for the late reply. All these are good ideas and most I've been through already. But anything I tried adding in terms of gameplay, took away from the game, imo. Day/night cycle, weather etc, is all things I wanted to do, but won't be possible with the current setup. Next game!

The animals will get a polish pass though, the erratic behaviour will be fixed.
