You can edit the cars config file and change which engine (s) it uses. You'd want to use 'Car Editor' to do it properly though. Cuz, changing the engine is usually going to result in things like driveline and exhaust to not match up anymore. Using car editor, you can change the engine type and then swap exhaust parts out to match properly... along with re-aligning the driveshaft. Then just be sure to use only the engines you have available to you. You can find out which engines you have available to you by going to the engine stand (in the garage) and choose to create a new engine. Then cycle through the list and make notes of which engines there is.

Can't quite remember if Car Editor tells you if engines are (dlc) or not in cms2018. It does in cms2021 so, you can select an engine in the list and it's description will say (dlc) or it won't. When it does say 'dlc' then you can figure out if it's dlc you own or not. Then you don't even need to take note of available engines... but, that's in cms 2021... not sure of 2018 anymore.
