"Adjusted End Volume" And Why It's Not A Good Change
I noticed that in the latest patch you made the following change:
• "Slightly adjusted End Volume to prevent players from bumping into it instead of finishing the level."

My issue with the is that you no longer are required to actually be precise and actually get inside the Door/Gate. You can simply land on top of it and, bam, you're done. It seems rather strange to not encourage the players to actually get inside the end. This can also lead to some stages being faster to just land on top of them which just makes it way easier.

I just feel it's not intuitive to have the end being triggered from on top of it. I mean if you have a Door or a Gate, you would go through it, not on top of it.

This can easily been seen as an issue if you watch Classics 19 (0:10).

Here you need to be careful to not overshoot it and maintain your speed so you land right infront of it. With the current change you can just hold forward and complete it easy with no adjustments. This is just one example out of countless others.

I think it should be removed ASAP. It's too generous and just makes the game way easier and ruins the experience for me.

This is just my personal opinion so feel free to let me know what you think!

In all honesty I hadn't considered that possibility, the change was made with quality of life in mind without much thought given to the ramifications of said change, so I appreciate you bringing this to light.

I've reverted the change to the end volume back to it's pre v1.18 state and will be pushing a patch live tonight as the last thing I want for Inertia is to make the skill-gap smaller.

Thanks for the ongoing feedback!

I appreciate your support for the game I do understand that it's hard to know of every implication of all changes that are made to the game. Thanks for listening to my concerns and keep up the good work! :)

So I've now tested the patch and while the overly generous "End Volume" seems to longer exist there's still some issues left though that should be looked at.

It seems that sometimes when you land on the top of the Doors/Gates you will complete the level. There are occasions that you can land and stand on it but Double Jumping or any movement towards the edges will result in an completition as well.

The "End Volume" seems to still have some issues, albeit not as much as before, but it's still noticable if one wants to take advantage of it. I just want to let you know so you can take another look at it.

Just released a patch which addresses a few small issues throughout the game, this being one of them.

Enjoy!
