(May 2020) Here's How to Play Without Direct-x 12!
I have a GTX 750-ti, which does not support Ray Tracing or Direct-X 12. Here is how I have found to get the game running anyhow!

Right-click the game in your Library to open the small menu, and select Properties.
Then under the GENERAL tab, select "Launch Options..."
add this:

-dx11

This will force Luxocraft to use Direct-X 11 instead.
