Do you worked with any layer based image tool such as Gimp, Paint.net or Photoshop before?
Then try the modkits from the official website. The psd files are supposed to be painted and then saved as png.
If you are familar with these tools, join the ACEO Discord. We have some improved mdks and additional planes.
