Why Are The Controls So Unbelievably Stupid?

I have to say that playing the game for the first time, I really find the control system baffling. I seem to be stuck in some sort of tutorial with no way out. I can't delete any elements I don't want. Can't get back to the main menu. This really is bad!

Sounds like you're stuck between build and run modes. You can't do anything but watch in run mode. I think maybe you're just in the learning curve. It's quite simple once you learn your way around. It's a great game - don't give up :) Maybe if you could describe your issues more clearly?
