Confusing 'text editor level editor'

Sorry, I read the thread about the question why there's no level editor in Dungeon Warfare 2.
Devs responded:
" You can make a map with text editor for now, but it's really hard to do.
The game already has a feature to upload/download custom maps with Steam Workshop, but we didn't have enough time to develop the map editor. We'll implement it sometime, but nothing is decided yet..."

boii thats very nice but is there anywhere at least a quick tutorial ? 'you can make the map with text editor' - huh? Explain that please, only wanna buy this game if this one has a kind of a level editor, too

It is quite involved. You can look at a json[www.w3schools.com] file they give as example (see it here[pastebin.com] on pastebin for convenience). They annotated it on the txt file as well (pastebin link here[pastebin.com]).

You can find the example map and the folder these files are on your computer by going to Menu -> My Maps -> Open Map Folder, while you are on the stage selection map.
