In the actual map selection screen we should be able to get details on the characteristics of those maps, just as we do when we first unveil/identify them in the Runes screen.

Selection of a Mine Cart Rune would be ideal for a map that actually has Mine Carts, for example. Ethereal maps allow you no alternatives, since you can only play them once to find such things out.
