Temporary Blocking-Trap
What I'm missing is some kind of Trap that temporary blocks a path.
That would be usefull because it wouldn't be affected by the increased weight (because the scaling in this game is currently broken, making most traps useless later on).

Might be a floor trap. Periodically rises up and stays for a few secondss, blocking the path for other mobs. Any mob on it would be able to walk atop of it (i.e. no "crushing on ceiling"), so no instakill and thus no problem for endless.

Also, don't make them reroute to another path with that. That would just screw up everything (i.e. make a few of those traps blocking all the ways and enemies won't be able to get anywhere or maybe go back and forth between to paths).


This kind of Trap would be viable throughout the game and throughout endless without being overpowered.

I wanted to post this too but he means gates. I like those as a mechanic but they would need to be attackable and come in pairs somehow so they don't break pathing even further.
