Same problem here

Plus speaking of teammates, I got trouble when I'm the leader or sprinter some of them during the all race or a part of it spend their time to be be under my commend then not anymore every 5 seconds. Which make strategy harder.
Or best of all, leader of the team and the ranking, all teammates under my command, then at 20km of the line in a climb, they are npt. Making me compell to follow others leaders.

Had the same problem, and tried with 1/2/3 slots. In every cases, points were deducted but i got the pop-up saying i did not validate...

Me too, lost every points I got trying multiples times. It works once. Numbers of slots doesnt matter from my experience

Same problem. Tried starting new games with different type of riders, but the same thing happens every time. Tried reinstalling, but didnt help. I can also just stay in the team request window and confirm until i run out of point.

I'm new to the game. Is it an important feature or can I start a game and just not use it without missing to much?

You can play easily without that. But it can be a great help for races to choose teammates who can lead you to victory
