Hakoniwa Explorer Plus

Scrolling menu
Hi. I have the scrolling menu bug too.
It stops if I force Steam to use a controller, but I can't actually use it to play and since it's wireless, it will disconnect after a few seconds, giving me the bug again.

If this is a problem of the game getting confused with controller inputs, is there a way to turn off controller support? it seems keyboard is better for this anyway.

Hi, can you check if you PC has any 3rd party key mapping software installed (or drivers), and can you remove them. It can confuse the input signals to the game, which causes the scrolling.
it does, a ton, and I won't remove them. They're pretty standard today and even Windows installs one by itself (multia). They are disabled, the joystick enumerator shows nothing and only a few particular libraries get confused (fusion, rpg Maker VX.
If I could just toggle joystick off in a config file of the game, this would be sorted. I just played Environmental Station Alpha, made in Fusion, which has the same issue but defaults to keyboard only so I can at least play it that way.
Can an option to disable joypad be added? It would fix the issue for a lot of people.

I'm afraid not, as I'm afraid its not as simple as that. Sadly not all programs are compatible with third party mapping devices, and it can cause strange issues, such as the one you are experiencing. The program is probably receiving a strange signal triggered by a 3rd party mapping driver, which is causing it to do this.
yikes. I use DS4Windows and Touchmote, uninstalling them would render my controllers unusable. I keep them turned off (and Windows' joystick list is empty) when not using those controllers, but the driver is still installed.
There's no mapping to keyboard either, as I wouldn't be able to type right now.
It was Touchmote.
I opened it to check that it wasn't active without me knowing about it and it warned me of an update, so I figured I'd uninstall and test before installing the new version.
Without Touchmote installed I do not have infinite menu scrolling.

While not an ideal situation, I guess I can go play the games that are broken by this driver until I need it again.
I'll definitely ask around Touchmote forums if this is an issue in the driver (as Touchmote is open source if the problem is there, it could be fixed).

Thanks.

Necropost but I have adaptive technology due to disability brought on by nerve damage and therefore have tons of 3rd party key re-mapping stuff. Good thing I downloaded the demo first. Oh well, looked like a good game.
Touchmote pointer was my issue, because it turns the wiimote position to a mouse.
If you have a pointer mapping thing, you could try disabling only that and keeping the key remaps and see if that works? that is, if you can manage without the pointer remaps.
