Can you describe them? I don't seem to have had framerate issues on my ~3-year-old mid-range gaming laptop with some Nvidia card or other, aside from some brief jankiness in high-velocity crashes, although I think that's probably more down to the game's physics freaking out a little under high strain.

Make sure your video drivers are up to date blah blah blah, of course.

Ah, okay. I haven't noticed that but I haven't been to every part of both cities, and my machine is over the game's Recommended Spec.

This version noticeably stutters a lot more than the original Strangelite/Empire Interactive port. I just tried at 60hz with locked vsync in the game options/Nvidia drivers but it's still stutter central.

It can start smooth, feeling like 60hz butter smooth, but drive down the road weaving left-to-right and it degrades in performance, then sometimes comes back to smooth again.

Tried tweaking refresh rates and even removing gamepad but no difference so far. Will investigate more one day, but not for a while.

I can confirm that loading a dll file that forces Vulkan API instructions does resolve the issue. Attempting to acquire and properly install that file does require some research.

Was it (from https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Crazy_Taxi_(Steam) )

- Download DXVK here. ( https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases )
- Extract the contents of the dxvk-*.tar.gz file with 7zip or WinRAR.
- Copy d3d9.dll from the x32 folder and paste it in the game's installation folder.

which came from https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/71230/discussions/0/617320628148536500/?l=hungarian&ctp=1

I tried that a while back and didn't notice a difference, but I haven't had stuttering issues with the game.

Yes. That is what I am referencing to. Apparently, the dx9 API can posssibly cause stuttering issues on higher end graphics cards like on my PC, as I use a 3060 Ti.
